Tian Shan Grand Canyon (also called ‘mysterious grand canyon’) is a must see when you visit Kuqa. he road follows the Kuche river and is on both sides accompanied with ‘painted’ mountain walls. And once you get out of the car and stroll into this canyon with the red rocks on both sides in many different hues and feel the cool shaded air you feel really privileged. The oddly-shaped rocks, craggy pinnacles, rugged cliffs and deep ravines are the various special features of the canyon. The canyon is also known as red cliff. When you sun is shining on the mountains, you will see bunches of burning fires. When standing at the bottom of the canyon, you will have the feeling that the steep cliffs will fall down to you at any time, so you may feel dizzy.

Turpan

Lying in the Turpan Basin, Turpan is at the lowest-elevation anywhere in China. Recently, it has become a tourist hot spot of Xinjiang with its unique landscape, abundant historical relics, and fertile farmland. Because Turpan is rich in high-quality grapes of many kinds, it is known as the Hometown of Grapes. Grapes have even proved to be a attraction. The valley is a Grape Kingdom worthy of its name. The surface temperature here can reach over 70 C(158 F). Lying to the north of the Flaming Mountain, the Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves is one of the most important Buddha grotto relics in Xinjiang. Not far from Bizaklik Thousand Buddha Caves sits the ruins of the Ancient City of Gaochang. It is the largest set of ancient city ruins ever found inthe Western Regions. The Ancient City of Jiaohe ,situated to the west of Turpan, is another set of ruins from an ancient city on the Silk Road.

Keketuohai

Keketuohai is located in the south of Altay Mountains and the source of Irtysh River. As the cold air flows from the nick of river valley in Irtysh, there is much rain and snow with the dense forest and luxuriant prairie. There are 260,000 hectare forest with 22.44% of forest acreage and 10,530,000 hectare of prairie, which is the huge"wild desert and wet island" of arid region in northwest. Keketuohai is “there are miles and miles of land locked in ice with snow whirling in the sky" in winter, which presents the magnificent scene with “the immense forest and snowfield"; in summer, the climate is nice and cool, with multiple ranges of green frost and the mountain steppe of intellectual and artistic efflorescence, which is different from other sceneries. In autumn, groovy colors combined with Siberian cedar, Siberian fir, Siberian spruce, Siberian larch and betula pendula contribute even more beauty to Keketuohai.
