Qantas has unveiled its new Darwin Qantas Club lounge, which has been designed to give customers a deeper level of comfort and convenience.
Some features of the 1,500 square metre lounge (more than double the size of the previous lounge) include seats for over 350 guests, a business centre with Apple iMac computers, meeting room, new bathroom and shower facilities and a family zone featuring kids work stations.
Other benefits comprise of wireless internet, newspapers, magazines, Foxtel and complimentary wireless, photocopying and fax.
Qantas head of Australian regional operations Natalie Saulter, said the new space is a testament to the airline’s ongoing commitment in Darwin.
“Qantas has a long history in the Northern Territory and we consider Darwin a very important part of our domestic network,” Ms Saulter said.
“Not only do we operate the most services in and out of the capital we are also the only airline to have a dedicated lounge for its customers.”
The opening of the new Qantas Club coincides with Darwin airport’s renovations.
The terminal refurbishment is set to improve facilities for customers, including other Qantas Group airlines that operate through Darwin, QantasLink and Jetstar.
