Mandarin Oriental Opens in Guangzhou

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group has opened its first city hotel in China, the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou.

Located above TaiKoo Hui, a prestigious 358,000-square metre, mixed-use development comprising luxury shopping, grade-A office space and an impressive cultural centre, Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou’s standard guest rooms are the largest in the city.Merging Western and Chinese design, the results are rooftop gardens at Taikoo Hoi (the adjacent shopping center), a mezzanine-level lounge serving chocolate wontons (The Loft), and soothing colors at the Taikoo Lounge.

Each of the 233 spacious guestrooms, 30 suites and 24 serviced apartments reflect the Group’s distinctive elegance and style. Renowned interior designer, Tony Chi, has fused traditional elements of the orient with the modern identity of today’s China.
