Luxury Travel Readers Vote Qatar Airways ‘Best for Business’

Qatar Airways has again been awarded the coveted ‘Best for Business’ awards at the Condé Nast Traveller ‘Readers Travel Awards’ which took place in London.

Readers honoured the Oneworld partner with the accolade, crediting the on-board experience and premium lounges as the key to its success.

There are a number of contributing factors that has helped Qatar win this sought-after award including the development of Al Mourjan – the world’s largest business class lounge at Qatar’s hub in Hamad International Airport, Doha. Other enhanced features include; the upgrade of the inflight entertainment system, Oryx One, with more than 3,000 entertainment options to choose from; new luxury Giorgio Armani amenity kits, as well as new inflight menus.

With over 150 destinations in its global network, the Gulf airline can connect both business and leisure travellers seamlessly whilst minimising transit times in the Middle East. Meanwhile, its highly lauded on-board service includes Wi-Fi, flexible on-demand dining, as well as all the travel advantages that comes with being a member of the largest global airline alliance, Oneworld.

Group Chief Executive for Qatar Airways, His Excellency Mr Akbar Al Baker commented on the airline’s success, “We are honoured to be recognised as the ‘Best for Business’ by the readers of Condé Nast Traveller. Such an accolade is a direct reflection of our passengers’ satisfaction in the service we provide and we remain committed to providing the very best experience to our guests throughout their journey…"

Qatar Airways has also recently expanded its already expansive network, with the addition of the following destinations which are all due to launch in 2016: Adelaide, Atlanta, Birmingham, Boston, Los Angeles, Marrakech, Pisa, Ras Al Khaimah, Sydney, Windhoek, Helsinki, Krabi, and the Seychelles. The award-winning airline is also to launch flights to Auckland – the world’s longest commercial flight – along with Lusaka, Skopje and Nice in 2017.
