Day 3: Monday, 6 July—Cobh (Cork), Ireland (8:30 A.M./7:30 P.M.)

Tom Morris Flight: Today play Old Head Golf Links. Opened for play in 1997, and now one of the most talked-about golf courses in the world, Old Head is set on a dramatic promontory, protruding over two miles into the Atlantic Ocean. Nine holes play along the cliff tops, and all eighteen holes provide stunning ocean views.

Arnold Palmer Flight: Today play Fota Island Deerpark Course, located on a 780 acre island in Cork Harbour. Routed through mature woodlands, and highlighted by pot bunkers and double greens with undulating slopes, the course was host venue to the PGA European Tour Irish Open in 2001 and 2002. Day 4: Tuesday, 7 July—Dublin, Ireland (8:00 A.M./11:00 P.M.)

Tom Morris Flight: Today play the Palmer Ryder Cup Course of The K Club. This beautiful parkland course was designed by Arnold Palmer and hosted the 2006 Ryder Cup. The course covers an area of mature woodland to the west of Dublin City to which fourteen lakes have been added. Note: golf cart venue.

Arnold Palmer Flight: Today play Portmarnock Golf Club, consistently ranked as one of the top five courses in Ireland. It has played host to numerous Irish Open Championships, plus the 1991 Walker Cup match starring a young Phil Mickelson.

Day 5: Wednesday, 8 July— Liverpool, England (8:00 A.M./11:00 P.M.)

Tom Morris Flight: Today play Royal Liverpool, which after a 40-year absence returned to the British Open rota in 2006, hosting it again in 2014. Despite its somewhat benign appearance, Royal Liverpool, or Hoylake as it is more commonly known, is amongst the toughest and most demanding of the great seaside championship links of Britain.

Arnold Palmer Flight: Today play Royal Birkdale, a course which provides a formidable test of links golf with each hole running in valleys between towering sandhills. The Open was last played at Birkdale in 2008, when Padraig Harrington lifted the Claret Jug to complete back-to-back wins. Site of Arnold Palmer’s Open Championship win in 1961.

Day 7: Friday, 10 July—Belfast, Northern Ireland (6:00 A.M./11:00 P.M.)

Tom Morris Flight: Today play Royal County Down, located in the town of Newcastle to the south of Belfast. Consistently ranked in the top 10 courses in the world, this is a true test of links golf set against the magnificent backdrop of the Mountains of Mourne. Host to the 2007 Walker Cup Match, featuring a young local by the name of Rory McIlroy, and an all-star USA lineup.

Arnold Palmer Flight: Today play Royal Portrush, an outstanding course in a dramatic setting. It holds the distinction of being the only course in Ireland to have hosted The Open Championship (The British Open). The Dunluce Course is as fine a links as you will find anywhere, with the 5th being a particularly memorable hole to a green hanging on the edge of a cliff. Consistently ranked in the top 20 of the world’s best courses.

Day 8: Saturday, 11 July—Greenock (Glasgow), Scotland (7:00 A.M./8:00 P.M.)

Tom Morris Flight: Today play Dundonald Links, a modern day classic links from the highly acclaimed architect Kyle Phillips of Kingsbarns fame. Built on the great golf coast of Ayrshire, and with outstanding views to the island of Arran, Dundonald Links has already hosted qualifying for the European Tour and the British Senior Open Championship, along with a number of national championships.

Arnold Palmer Flight: Today play the Ailsa Course at Turnberry. Lying on a spectacular curve of rockbound coast, the coastal scenery is magnificent, especially from the 4th through the 11th, and passing the famous landmark lighthouse at the turn. No one can ever forget the 1977 “duel in the sun” between Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson. In 2009, the Ailsa Course hosted the Open Championship for the 4th time, when 32 years later Tom Watson almost clinched the championship as a 59-year-old, losing out to Stewart Cink in a play off for the famed Claret Jug.

GOLF: Today both flights play Castle Stuart Golf Links, the newest addition to the Links Courses of Scotland. Castle Stuart runs along the shores of the Moray Firth to the east of Inverness, with wonderful views over to the Black Isle. Six holes hug the shoreline while the remaining holes are played over a terraced slope, so views out to sea are ever-present. Already included in the World’s Top 100.

GOLF: Today both flights play the PGA Centenary Course of Gleneagles Hotel. This highly acclaimed Jack Nicklaus design is a modern classic, and host venue to the 2014 Ryder Cup. The course is set in a most spectacular location in the rolling Perthshire hills and affords wonderful views of the Grampian Mountains and the surrounding countryshire.

GOLF: Today attend the second round of the 144th Open Golf Championship at The Old Course St Andrews. Transfers from Azamara Quest in Leith to St Andrews will operate on a scheduled timetable, giving flexibility during the day to allow you to stay as long as you wish at the championship. Non-golfing spouses are invited to sign up to attend.
