China Southern to Add Five A380

China Southern Airlines is adding an Airbus A380 to its fleet as it looks to enhance its share of the international market. The airline is the world’s largest in terms of passenger traffic, owing to its dominance of the domestic market. It is now looking to launch a challenge on Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines on routes to Europe and America. The airline is set to launch the first of five A380 aircraft next month, making it the seventh airline worldwide to operate the superjumbo flights and the first to do so in China. The Guangzhou-based airline has not yet identified which routes the double-decker aircraft will fl y, but an announcement is due later this week.
