Dine at select restaurants throughout the village on specially prepared menus in honour of the 10th anniversary of the annual Icewine Festival at Sun Peaks Resort. These gourmet prix-fixe menus will highlight culinary cuisine and hand picked flights of wine from select wineries of the Okanagan Wine Country. Join the chefs throughout the week and the finest gastronomy Sun Peaks has to offer.

Tuesday, January 15

Taste of Sun Peaks
7:00pm – 8:30pm at the Delta Sun Peaks Resort Hotel – $60.00

Join the Delta Sun Peaks Resort Hotel as they host chefs from around the Sun Peaks Village for an evening of food and wine sampling. Enjoy unique culinary creations paired with select wines and Icewines from the Okanagan Wine Country. Discuss why wines balance certain foods, sample some unique British Columbia cheeses and share in the recipes! Live music adds to the celebration as you sample, sip, and mingle with fellow wine enthusiasts from around the world in the only four-diamond resort in BC’s interior.

Magic of Dessert and Icewine

If you have a sweet tooth, this is the event for you. The 10th annual Magic of Dessert and Icewine competition features chefs from Sun Peaks and the interior of British Columbia as they prepare delectable creations made with an Icewine or Late Harvest wine. Sample the desserts and the Icewines used in each recipe, chat with the chefs about their concoction and vote for your favourite pairing. This event is sure to deliver a natural alpine sugar high!
Winemaster’s Dinners
6:30pm Reception, 7:00pm Dinner

This is the event that food and wine connoisseurs flock to, and with limited availability be sure to book early! The Winemaster’s Dinners feature the art of culinary preparations and wine pairing. Embark on an epic journey and elevate your senses as you are guided through courses of gourmet food and flights of extraordinary wines of the Okanagan.

This signature Icewine Festival event is the flagship of the entire week’s festivities. Gather your friends and family for an evening of adventure as you stroll through our charming alpine village discovering new and soon to be favourite Icewines and wine varietals. Exceptional wines, crisp mountain air, and good company create warm and wonderful memories of a Canadian winter. Over 20 wineries will be set up in different locations throughout Sun Peaks Resort, and guests will be treated to the Okanagan’s best wines, including our famous Icewines and Late Harvest wines.

Sip and Savour
6:00pm – 8:30pm at Mackdaddy’s Nightclub – $40.00
This exciting event will challenge your knowledge of Okanagan Wines and Canadian Cheeses. Partnered with the Dairy Farmers of Canada, six mystery wines, and cheeses will be presented for participants to conduct a fun filled blind tasting. Follow the clues to see if you can unlock the mystery of wine and cheese. This is an event for those who aren’t afraid to stimulate their senses.

Saturday, January 19

The Icewine Brunch with Award Winning Canadian Icewines
10:00am – 1:00pm at the Delta Sun Peaks Resort Hotel – $55.00

Enjoy a feast of West Coast favourites as Delta’s Chef Ian Riddick guides his team in a creation of culinary proportions. Paired with award winning Okanagan Wines this is a perfect way to round out a week of food and wine discovery. To compliment the fabulous cuisine enjoy the fine wines of the Okanagan, as well as award winning Icewines and Late Harvest Wines from Canada’s only all Canadian Icewine & Late Harvest Judging Competition.

Medal Winners Tasting
3:00pm – 5:30pm at the Hearthstone Lodge, McGillivray Room – $55.00

Join us for a rare treat, as some of the Okanagan’s leading wine experts lead us through the tasting of award winning wines from the prestigious 2007 Okanagan Fall Wine Festival Wine Judging Competition. Most of these wines have limited availability therefore this event is geared toward the wine aficionado who won’t want to miss the season’s best!
