All the sights, the old city with its pedestrian zone, the Marienplatz and town hall, public transportation and the main train station, as well as the world-famous Munich Oktoberfest are within easy walking distance of the hotel. With your own car you will come to one of the six ends of motorway in Munich. Whether you come on the A8 from Stuttgart, the A96 from Lindau, the A 95 from Garmisch, the A9 from Nuremberg, the A94 from Passau or the A8 from Salzburg, follow the signs for “Stadtmitte” (city center) and “Altstadtring”. Keep on the Altstadtring to Karlsplatz/Stachus and turn from Sonnenstrasse into Adolf-Kolping-Str.. To load and unload luggage, stop right in front of the hotel. Then your car is best kept in the multi-storey car park next door.

By Intercity, or any other train, you will arrive in Munich at the “Hauptbahnhof” (central station), right in the center. Leave the station by the main entrance near the taxi ranks and bus stops. Walk to Schillerstrasse opposite the entrance and, at the first crossroads, turn left into Adolf-Kolping-Str. For the Alpen Hotel Munich.
