Day One – Two

Yangon

Upon arrival in Yangon, you will be transferred to Belmond Governor’s Residence for a fascinating two-night stay. Set in the leafy Embassy District, this colonial-style boutique hotel is an ideal base from which to start your Myanmar adventure. Enjoy a half-day tour of Yangon’s great cultural attractions. Highlights include the dazzling Shwedagon Pagoda, the National Museum and Bogyoke Market, piled high with local handicrafts and antiques.

Day Three

Mandalay

Transfer to Mandalay by domestic flight, where you will meet the impressive Belmond Road to Mandalay river cruiser. After a delicious lunch onboard, take a tour of the former royal capital and second largest city of Myanmar.

Day Four

Ayeyarwady River

Join an early morning walking tour of Shwe Kyet Yet Village before sailing to historic Ava where you’ll embark on a horse-drawn cart tour. Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure on the ship, relaxing by the pool or attending a fascinating lecture.

Day Five

Bagan

Today arrive in stunning Bagan, a sprawling plain containing more than 2,000 ancient temples and pagodas. An introductory tour will point out the most significant temples. After lunch, continue the tour or explore the city at leisure by bicycle or horse-drawn cart. This evening, return to Belmond Road to Mandalay for dinner and local entertainment on board.

Days Six – Seven

Inle Lake

After an early breakfast, transfer to Bagan airport for your flight to Heho. Continue to Inle Princess Resort for a luxurious two-night stay. Situated on the eastern bank of lake adjacent to Magyizin Village, the resort boasts awe-inspiring views of blue mountain ranges and tranquil rice paddies.
