Carcassonne Festival

July – Canal Du Midi, Languedoc

The Carcassonne Festival has been running for over 10 years and has established itself as one of the biggest France festivals. The festival brings dance, theatre, circus, music and art to the heart of the medieval city, Carcassonne – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

More than 120 concerts and shows will be offered this year in several prestigious places across the fortified city.

Previous years have seen famous international artists perform including the like of Elton John, Lana Del Rey, Status Quo, Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, David Guetta, Smashing Pumpkins, Artic Monkeys, Ben Harper, The Beach Boys and John Newman.

 

Festival Photo La Gacilly

June to September – Brittany

For art lovers of all kinds, there is no better time to visit Southern Brittany than between the months of June and September for the increasingly popular photo festival which takes place there every year. This unique outdoor event is the largest photo festival in all of France, and it celebrates amazing imagery captured of humans and the environment. With artwork from world-renowned photographers as well as local artists, this festival is awe-inspiring.

 

Les Zaccros d’ma rue

July – Nevers, Loire Valley

Every year the streets of Nevers fill with some of the most unique, amazing, and outlandish performances one can imagine in an event that is perfect for all ages.

Les Zaccros D’ma Rue is a 7-day festival made up of street performances, circus acts, parades, concerts and visual art. Its program is popular, diverse and, above all, festive! On the final night of the festival, a great way to avoid the crowds and enjoy the spectacular fireworks is from the sundeck of your boat, a glass of Sancerre wine in hand.
