Days 02-03 Design Your Day Kochi
Two days to discover the ancient fort town of Kochi with your private guide.
Choose three of the following activities: a morning sightseeing tour of Kochi to acquaint yourself with the town covering the old quarter, Fort Kochi, Raja’s Palace, the Jewish Synagogue and St. Francis Church, finishing your day with an afternoon cruise on the harbour; immerse yourself in the local culture and visit the home of a local Indian family for high tea and a sari demonstration or perhaps a private cooking class; for those more active, an afternoon visit to the Chinese fishing nets to help the fishermen haul in their catch is a must (B).

Day 04 Kochi-Backwaters
An unforgettable experience, board your private houseboat and immerse yourself in the rural life of Kerala’s backwaters, where daily happenings have changed little over the centuries. See children fishing, women washing clothes at the waterside, brightly painted houses, boats laden with coir and copra and smiling faces everywhere.
The converted rice boats in Kerala offer one or two cabins with a small sitting room, a crew of two and a chef. The food is authentic Kerala cuisine, purchased fresh along the way. For most of the journey, the boat is poled, sailing only between dawn and dusk. Although the accommodation on board is basic, this is an incredible experience not to be missed (B,L,D).
