Best Time to Travel
Although boasting a climate similar to its other South-East Asian neighbour’s making it an ideal location to holiday at almost all times of the year, the yearly festivities & two-different seasons, still offer insight for the best time to experience one of the world’s most undiscovered countries.
Travelling for Festivals
- April: The Thingyan Festival is a water festival to usher in the New Year.
- October: The Inle Lake Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda Festival features boat races on the lake to mark the end of the rainy season while pagoda Buddha statues tour around lakeside villages to chase away the spirits.
Travelling for Seasons
- October to March is the best time to visit with little chance of rain and less humidity. April is summer with high temperatures and blue skies. Avoid the monsoon season from May to October.
