Melbourne

Melbourne is the coastal capital city of Victoria, and Australia’s second largest city.  Melbourne’s history is intertwined with the port’s evolution as a trade gateway even before the foundation of the Melbourne Harbor Trust in 1877.  At the city’s centre is the modern Federation Square with plazas, bars, and famous restaurants by the Yarra River.  In the Southbank area, the Melbourne Arts Precinct is the site of Arts Centre Melbourne and the National Gallery of Victoria, with Australian and indigenous art.

Often lauded as Australia’s heart of culture, Melbourne is a blend of bustling laneways, world-class restaurants, sporting events, and incredible cafes.  There is something for everyone in this uniquely artistic city, whether you are a fierce festival lover or an artsy café dweller.
