Cairns

The city of Cairns in Far North Queensland is home to the world-famous Great Barrier Reef, ancient Daintree rainforests and endless coasts of impeccable beauty and Aboriginal culture.

The Great Barrier Reef extends 350,000 kilometres across the Queensland coast and is a must see tourist attraction. Explore the reef by boat or helicopter and snorkel your way around the Great Barrier Reef taking in the vibrant beauty of the corals and myriad of marine life.

Delve into a journey of wonders exploring one of the world’s oldest tropical rainforests – The Daintree. Spot a crocodile as you meander down the forest fringe river. Venture out to discover diverse flora and fauna on Skyrail Rainforest Cableway gliding above the jungle of greens. As you make your way into the forest, head onto the Kuranda Scenic Railway to reach the Barron Falls and Barron Gorge National Park.

Adrenaline seekers can absorb the magnificent beauty from the skies in a Hot Air Balloon or by experiencing a Sky Dive. Marvel at the Great Barrier Reef, pristine ocean and coastlines and endless mountain ranges from above, or take a White Water Rafting tour and get up-close-and-personal with the thundering rapids in the surrounding mountains.

Take a drive up and down the coast to view some of the spectacular waterfalls like Milla Milla Falls and stunning beach towns of Palm Cove and Port Douglas.
