The Etihad Airways flagship Airbus A380 will begin, on 01Jun16, daily flights to Melbourne. On board will be the world’s best first class experience – the Etihad First Class Apartment.
Each apartment has a total area of 3.6 metres squared with a finish of Poltrona Frau leather.
While other First Class seats generally follow the conventional conversion of becoming a flat bed, Etihad’s First Class apartments has a separate seat and bed. Across from the reclining leather-clad lounge chair is the full length ottoman which opens into an 80.5 inch long and 26 inch wide bed.
Some of the Apartments even have connecting doors so that those passenges travelling together can share the experience.
The Apartment also includes a 24-inch flat screen TV, a personal chilled mini-bar, a personal wardrobe and a vanity cabinet stocked with luxury brand amenities and lit make-up mirrors.
For the passengers of the nine Apartments a shower suite is also on offer so they can freshen up.
But for the ultimate mile-high luxury then move beyond the Apartments to The Residence, a three-room VIP supersuite comprised of a living room, bathroom suite (with shower) and bedroom. All your cares will be taken care of by your personal Savoy-trained butler.
If First Class isn’t in your budget range for your impending trip then consider flying in one of the 70 comfortable and well-appointed Business Studio pods stretched along the the top deck. All passengers have access to the aisle with the 1-2-1 layout and every seat converts into a long, fully-flat bed.
Available to both First and Business Class cabins is the The Lobby, a social area that features a longe and bar with leather couches and a large screen television.
To top it all off, Etihad Airways new Melbourne lounge is set to open its doors in the first quarter of 2016.
