National Geographic Islander

National Geographic Islander

The National Geographic Islander is a versatile vessel with 24 outside cabins accommodating 48 guests. Designed for year-round discovery and active exploration, this intimate ship provides the perfect mobile platform from which to experience every aspect of the Galápagos—both above and below the sea.

Public areas include a covered deck with hammocks, chairs, and tables; a doctor’s office; a fitness center; a gift shop; a spa; a library; a lounge with full-service bar and facilities for films, slide shows, and presentations; and a Sky Deck.

The ship is equipped with a fleet of kayaks and Zodiacs, snorkeling gear, underwater video cameras, a video microscope, Internet access, and laundry services.  A full-time doctor, an undersea specialist, a photo instructor, a video chronicler, and a wellness specialist accompany every voyage.

Meals are served in a single seating with unassigned tables for an informal atmosphere and easy mingling. The menu is international with an Ecuadorian flair. Our Ecuadorian captain and officers welcome guests to the bridge in accordance with our “Open Bridge" policy.

All cabins have a window with an outside view, private facilities, and climate controls.
