Sun 01 New York

After breakfast stroll to the Neue Gallery for a private guided tour. The collection covers a range of works created in Austria and Germany between 1890 and 1940. This evening enjoy dinner at the Carlyle Café. (BD)

Mon 02 New York

Today enjoy a full-day tour north to Kykuit, the Rockefeller Estate in the Hudson Valley. This hilltop paradise was home to four generations of the Rockefeller family, beginning with the philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, founder of Standard Oil and the richest man in America in his time, and now a historic site of the National Trust. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Returning to the city stop at the Union Church of Pontantico Hill, an unassuming country church that contains a spectacular stained glass window by Henri Matisse, his last work of art, and nine windows by Marc Chagall. This morning you will be transferred by private car to the Manhattan Cruise Terminal to embark Crystal Serenity for your 10-night cruise. The afternoon is at leisure to unpack, relax and enjoy the all-inclusive comforts of this ultra-luxury vessel. (BLD)

Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia and the most Scottish of all Canada’s great cities. On a half-day guided tour explore the history of this maritime coast.
