Just outside of town is yet another awe-inspiring sight: the Pont de les Ferreres, a bridge that formed part of a Roman aqueduct. Thought to date from the days of Augustus, the bridge spans 817 feet and reaches a height of up to 85 feet, with a graceful, two-tiered-arch design that renders the bridge not only a feat of engineering but a work of art. | One of the largest cities of Spain, Valencia is also one of the country’s most dynamic. Its location on the Mediterranean offers a mild climate, bringing sun worshippers to Valencia’s many beaches. Old Town boasts a cathedral that is mainly of early gothic style, with Romanesque and baroque additions. In the cathedral’s museum are works of Goya and the paintings of the Valencia School, representing art of the 15th to the 17th centuries.
