Day 01 – Wednesday
Our pre cruise Thursday Island bus tour departs at midday. At 1:30pm board "Coral Princess" at Thursday Island for a 2:30pm departures. The journey begins with our cruise to Cape York – the "Tip of Australia". Here we toast the sunset with champagne and orange juice before heading back to Coral Princess to enjoy the Captain’s Welcome Aboard Dinner.

Day 02 – Thursday
Cruising southward we sail through the Albany passage passing the pearl farms, Somerset – Torres Strait’s first administrative centre, and the Escape River. Other points of interest include the brilliant white sand dunes of Shelburne Bay standing 80 metres high to the north of Cape Grenville.

Day 03 – Friday

Begin the day beachcombing and bird watching on Magra Island. We then cruise to Forbes Island and Reef where we enjoy the day exploring this uninhabited island with a history of early settlement. There is ample time for swimming and snorkelling.

Day 04 – Saturday

This morning we visit Stanley Island and the fascinating Endaen Aboriginal rock art gallery featuring, among other subjects, the very best examples of sailing ships of the last century. This is a unique art site seldom visited due to its isolated location. At Davey Reef & Cay we enjoy snorkeling, coral viewing and scuba diving and observe the large seabird rookery.

Day 05 – Sunday

Lizard Island: Here we explore one of the most beautiful island on the Queensland coast. For the energetic, we retrace the steps of James Cook in the 365m climb to "Cook’s Look". The island offer excellent swimming, snorkelling, coral viewing and scuba diving.

This afternoon we visit North Direction Island, a small uninhabited island just south of Lizard Island. Here there is time to further participate in beachcombing and water activities before enjoying sunset drinks on the beach.

Day 06 – Monday

Arriving in historic Cooktown we join a tour of the town including a visit to the famous James Cook Museum and local cemetery. Time permitting you’ll also be able to visit shops, pubs and other fascinating historical sites giving you an insight to the history, exploration and settlement of Australia. In the afternoon we steam to Ribbon Reef No 3 for swimming and snorkelling. The day ends with the Captain’s Farewell Dinner.

Day 07 – Tuesday

Our final Great Barrier Reef experience of the voyage. We enjoy a morning of snorkelling, scuba diving and coral viewing at Thetford Reef before making our way to Cairns for a 3:00pm arrival.
