Itinerary

Rome – Assisi – Siena – Florence – Pisa – Padua – Venice – San Marino – Rome – Naples – Pompeii – Sorrento – Capri – Rome

Day 1 Friday or Sunday: Rome
Arrive at the hotel and overnight.

Day 2 Saturday or Monday: Rome, Assisi, Siena, Florence
Breakfast at the hotel and depart at 7:30am from hotel Diana by deluxe motorcoach to Assisi. Upon arrival you will have free time to visit the famous San Francesco's Basilica with Giotto's and Ciamabue's masterpieces. Free time for lunch (not included). After lunch we travel to Siena, a medieval city surrounded by ancient walls and its famous square “Piazza del Campo”, designed in the shape of a shell. Here, every year the famous “Palio” takes place. Also see the elegant Palace and the Cathedral. In the afternoon proceed on to Florence. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 3 Sunday or Tuesday: Florence
Breakfast at the hotel and morning city tour where you will appreciate the artistic beauty of Florence with its Dome by Brunelleschi, the Bell tower by Giotto and the Baptistery. The sightseeing tour continues through Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio and finally the church of Santa Croce. Time at leisure and return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 4 Monday or Wednesday: Florence, Pisa, Padua, Venice
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the excursion to Pisa. This quiet, graceful town shows signs of its past greatness through the famous Piazza del Campo, better known as the “Square of Miracles” where we find the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower (a Romanic bell tower of 58mt) and the Baptistery. At the end of the visit, depart to Padua for a short visit to St. Anthony's Basilica. Continue to Venice, the city of gondolas. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5 Tuesday or Thursday: Venice
Breakfast at hotel and a visit through this mysterious city built on 177 islands, 150 canals and 400 bridges. The sightseeing includes St. Mark's square and the Doge's Palace (external). During the morning the group will stop at one of the famous Murano glass shops. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 6 Wednesday or Friday: Venice, San Marino, Rome
Breakfast at the hotel and depart by private motorcoach from Piazzale Roma to San Marino, one of the smallest states in the world that still has its own currency, stamps and has preserved its political system for over 9 centuries). Free time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon arrive in Rome. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7 Thursday or Saturday: Rome
Breakfast at hotel and depart at 8:00am to visit this famous city and its artistic beauties like: Fontana di Trevi, Pantheon, Castel Sant'Angelo and the San Peter square with its basilica. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8 Friday or Sunday: Rome, Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento
Breakfast at the hotel. After leaving Rome, the coach drives through the regions of Lazio and Campania, with a view of the Abbey of Montecassino. Upon arrival in Naples there will be a short panoramic city tour: Mergellina, Castel dell'Ovo, Plebiscito Square, the Royal Palace, the Maschio Angioino and the port. Lunch in a restaurant on our way to Pompeii and then visit the excavations of the famous Roman city, destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Leave Pompeii and drive along the coast, to Sorrento. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 9 Saturday or Monday: Sorrento, Capri, Rome
After breakfast depart for the island of Capri by boat. (Weather and sea conditions permitting). Visit the Blue Grotta in small rowing boats. Lunch in a restaurant and free time for personal activities. In the afternoon depart for Rome. Arrival and overnight in Rome.

Day 10 Sunday or Tuesday: Rome
Breakfast at the hotel. End of services.
