Antarctic Experience

Humpback Whale breaching, Antarctica

When we hear the word “Antarctica," we imagine vast expanses of ice, towering icebergs, amusing penguins, fierce snowstorms, sailing ships trapped in ice, and daring explorers wrapped in heavy parkas fighting to survive. These images are all, or at least were once, true. However, with modern vessels and increased safety measures, a journey to “The Great White Continent" is much safer today. Despite this, Antarctica remains the epitome of a wild and untouched wilderness, with majestic natural landscapes that are unmatched anywhere else on earth.

The creatures that inhabit the harsh Antarctic climate exist in such vast numbers and concentrations that they must be seen to be believed. This pristine oasis hearkens back to a time when humanity had yet to leave its mark on the world, a time of natural purity and innocence. Antarctica has been a source of inspiration for as long as humans have known of its existence, and it may well inspire in you one of the most extraordinary emotional experiences that our planet has to offer.
